Two interesting anthropology stories this week. An article in
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences introduces us to 12 members of a Neandertal family who lived in Spain and met a nasty end. And in
Nature, DNA study of a little girl's 30,000 year old pinkie bone found in Denisova Cave in Siberia may have discovered a new sister ancestor in our archaic hominin closet. Our family gets more interesting all the time.
